Operating as “Village des Soleils”, Lac Ouimet Rental Corporation (“LORC”) rents vacation home units included within two fully registered Village des Soleils condominium corporations located near the southwest shore of Lac Ouimet in the Laurentian town of Mont-Tremblant, Quebec. LORC is owned by several owners of the Village des Soleils condominium corporation units who have an interest in providing a quality vacation lodging experience for their guests.
Villages des Soleils is a condominium project which was developed in the late 1980′s by a consortium of the, at-the-time, co-owners of Gray Rocks, a Laurentians vacation destination since 1906 with a reputation for outdoor sports activities such as skiing, golf and tennis.
Most owners have been coming to Gray Rocks and the Laurentians for several years to experience the variety of year round outdoor activities in the Tremblant region. We’re skiers (both downhill and cross country), golfers, hikers, bicyclers and more; we know what visitors want in a vacation home accommodation when they come to the region. And, as owners, we spend from two to six weeks a year using our units, when we “live” our guests’ vacation home experience.
Village des Soleils is located in Quebec’s Laurentian mountain region within five miles of the Station Mont Tremblant ski and recreation resort area. Specifically it is located on a mountain slope close to the southeast shore of Lac Ouimet, on which Gray Rocks itself is situated on the west shore. (More history here)..
In addtion to Station Mont Tremblant, rated as eastern North America’s #1 ski resort, the St.-Jovite townsite with its many boutique shops and restaurants, Parc National du Mont-Tremblant and the recently opened Casino de Mont Tremblant are amongst the additional attractions in the area.
Because the condominium corporation has the reserve funds to support maintenance and upgrades, Village des Soleils is constantly being renovated and upgraded to maintain the overall development’s appearance and building integrity. Recently renovations have included painting, replacement of the roofs, road maintenance and overall landscaping. At the same time the interiors have recently been fully refurbished (and air conditioning installed) to ensure that not only we, as owners, but also our guests have a comfortable and enjoyable stay. All units are professionally cleaned under the supervision of a former Gray Rocks employee.
Our office is located at 1400 Rue Labelle (Highway 327) across from Le Maitre golf course (which is not a Gray Rocks course). While generally open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily (but less frequently during the mid-October to mid-December and April to mid-May shoulder seasons), arrangements are made for late check-ins.
